A 30 Second "Film"

It's more like an intro, really.
Technically it's not a film, so it really is a debatable title. :D
Anyhoo, that is the title of the brief I was given.

My genre was Japanese Horror. I was so excited to begin this project and see the final outcome! I'm really happy with how it turned out!
So the week after that finished, our next task was to make a poster for said film.
This is my final piece -

I'm hoping I managed to re-size it well..enough... to A3, because I've been working on an A4 scale XD

Thoughts on the poster? By the way, the poster we made we made ourselves.. er, not in pairs. The film however was made in pairs, and here it is -

Please don't forget to enable high quality! (It really helps to get the mood across....er.. yeah).

Here are some thumbnails of other version of the poster I worked on...

Also, I do apologise for not posting earlier projects... :/

I had to choose a location and research it.
This is what I ended up with~

Blargledeboop!

Blargledeboop, indeed!

I'm afraid that's the mood I am in as I write this :D
I'm just super happy~ so... BE HAPPY D:<!

So~~
Remmeber I said I would produce my final piece/comic on the pc? That that got scrapped right after I remembered I had Indian Drawing Ink! TADA~
I fell in love with it all over again.

Friend's of mine have talked about a brush pen... well, it looked pretty cool, kinda hard to get used to cause it's not a pen O.o anyway ~ I madeshift one.. and that doesn't make sense. Er, at the shop there's these watercolour brushes so I just put indian ink in and it works just as my friends :D YAY FOR CHEAP

Anyway... I finished the comic today. Pretty much.
I'mma scan, edit and add the writing/font/typography on - some poem bits.

Can't wait to show the final!!

Anywhoo...
My burger has almost arrived so I'll leave you with some photo's I took at one of Edinburgh's museum and drawings..

^-^

P.S. I shall upload another project that I last worked on - book covers. They'll be done soon~ :3

My excuse for my drawings was... I wasn't in drawing mood, much. xD
Also. That's my friend Iinu, on the course with me :3
And. See the drawing of that guy up there? He was on the train to Edinburgh.. and like 6 hours later he appeared on the same train home, just a chair away! How weird is that? XD

Update

Hi, everyone! ( ^ω^)

So, ya'll probably wondering whatever happened with my comics project?!
Well, here's an update ^^

I've been working on experimentation - figuring out what really is the best medium for my comic, and out of all the testing I decided I would first draw out the sketch, and then manipulate and colour it on PhotoShop/SAI. (SAI is what I believe to be a Japanese colouring programme, it's really great for lineart too, love, love, love! (See previous post - I used SAI and PhotoShop, but I mainly used SAI)

Anyhoo... Here are two three pieces I created for experimentation and the comic

On the last image, I manipulated it to give it that psychedelic feeling (See previous post to understand my meaning). I like that it worked really well with the background, but I'm not so sure about it being warped on the building itself.

Do you feel my manipulation/experimental drawings succeed? Do they fit the overall feeling I'm trying to get across?

So here are some of the reference images I'll be using in the making...

I think that's about everything that needs posting...
Ciao~~

Eerie Silence...?

Ghosts...murder...the dead...morbid....blood...gore...truly horrific images...axe

Is the genre of my comic.

The Amityville Murders.

The Amityville Horror - Is a movie based on the true story.

So my project for Nick is to make a comic/story board based on a poem I chose from the list which is situated below.

I'm not entirely sure how I got from that poem to Amityville based, but hell, it's given me one hellova booster, I'm really excited to start and finish this because I feel it's very very different from what other students have done in the past.

I'm still not sure If I'll have characters in my story, but since Amityville is a story about a guy  whom had, let's say bad childhood ends up killing his father along with the rest of his family. I've read all kinds of stuff on this story on this website, just roughly, mind.
In the movie the main character finds out the house was built on an Indian burial site... Now that sounds about right but I can't be sure until I've researched this more. I'll come back to it when I have more information at hand. There is a DVD and a book  I want to watch/read as they're documentaries on the Amityville Murders' themselves; DVDbook.

Now to really help you/me visualise this, here are my moodboards.
I made another one because I felt I needed to, which is the genre.

To help you visualize the style/aesthetics moodboard, here's the grayscale version to keep in with the morbid scene

Alriiiight, my next task to make one of the following;

A) 2 A3 model sheet of assorted characters (If I end up going with the idea to have some)
B) 2 A3 non-character design sheets of visual elements, style experimentation.

When I was first assigned with this task I wasn't very sure what I wanted, I just knew this poem was psychedelic in a way and needed that element. I didn't think I would need characters but... Yep, Amityville has changed my mind and I am now stuck :'D

Wish me luck!

...P.S. I'm poop scared from looking at all those images.

Space

...SPACE...

As in [ space ] or space?

Well, I'll be talking about space as in planets in this post :D
The Ceramics pieces / project that I haven't yet posted is now being posted :D

*Post*

Anyway, here it is. And the edited versions of it

I'll admit I went a bit mental on the last image - as in PhotoShop happy! But I think it turned out well. Originally the image looked something like this...
